Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PreCAS Training collects, why, and what choices you have. We keep it simple and collect only what we need to run the service.

1. What we collect

• Account details — your name, login username, and password (stored encrypted).
• Interview details — the university and course you enter, and the written text (transcript) of your spoken answers.
• Reports — your scores, feedback, and progress over time.
• Basic technical data — the device type and browser used, to help the interview run.

2. Your camera and microphone

The interview uses your microphone (and camera, if you turn it on) in your browser to capture your answers. Your voice is turned into text on your device. We store the resulting text transcript and your report — we do not upload or keep the raw video recording on our servers.

3. Why we use it

To create your interview, score your answers, show your report and progress, run your account, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

To generate feedback, your answer transcript is sent to our AI provider (via OpenRouter) purely to produce your score and report. We also use standard hosting and database providers to run the service. These providers process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and reports while your account is active so you can track progress. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

6. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data. Email ukprecasinterview@gmail.com and we’ll help. You can also refuse camera/microphone access in your browser, though the interview needs the microphone to work.

7. Children

The service is for people applying to university, generally 16 and over. It is not intended for younger children.
